Treatment in Leeds
Detox
The recovery process starts with a detox period during which time the patient will be closely monitored by a devoted therapist who will be on hand 24/7 to meet their emotional and medical needs. The focus is entirely on calm, relaxation and achieving the goal of detox.
Your Unique Programme
This is closely followed by the beginning of your individual recovery plan, which varies from person to person and is an agreed course of action between patient and therapist. Typically it can include elements such as one-to-one counselling sessions, psychotherapy, mood management and creative activities.
Aftercare
At Priority we place great emphasis on the importance of aftercare. Many sufferers need additional support following residential care. It can be difficult to return to everyday life and we want to ensure that you have the best chance of continued success through a supportive and ongoing programme of aftercare. This can include therapeutic meetings, telephone calls, Skype sessions, and in some cases, a follow-up residential stay. Having that continued support can make all the difference in the initial period of adjustment following residential treatment.
Family Programme
Addiction can affect those around the sufferer in a variety of ways. Many family members may feel that they have contributed to the patient’s behaviour in ways such as ‘excusing’ their behaviour, calling into work for them when they unable to attend or supporting them financially. We believe in including loved ones in the recovery process, helping them to understand addiction and finding practical ways to best support recovery. Future planning can be one of the most effective tools in ensuring success in recovery. Having something to focus on can make all the difference. We offer sessions, either for individual family members or joint sessions with the patient to address these issues and help everyone involved.
FAQs
Will my family and friends be able to visit?
Yes – we strongly believe in involving loved ones in your recovery process where this can help. The only time that visits may be curbed is during the short detox period when patients benefit from complete focus and avoiding emotional situations. During this time telephone updates will be given to family members with the patient’s agreement.
How much does addiction treatment in Leeds cost?
In the same way as any private medical provider Priority’s services are subject to a weekly fee, which varies from centre to centre and patient to patient. However we would strongly advise investing in private residential care in order to ensure the greatest chance of success.
Other services are available free of charge on the NHS but can be difficult to access and involve waiting times and travel.
The ease of use with Priority’s services and availability, sometimes on the same day if necessary, make it an invaluable service. Once an addiction sufferer has asked for help it is important to start their programme of residential support as soon as possible to avoid relapse.
All costs include accommodation, food and beverages and, of course, your individual treatment programme.
